Chill Factor

Looks cold out doesn't it? And it was, to say the least.

The Illinois State Cyclocross Championship at Montrose Harbor in Chicago this past weekend was the territory of the true die-hard cyclist.  With the wind adding more chill to the twenty-some degree air temperature, the only thing crazier than participating in this event was standing there watching this event. Just on the other side of that little hill is the vastness of Lake Michigan. No cover from the wind at all.

One Track Mind

It's not always about bikes...sometimes its about bikes in movies. I hate to have a one track mind, but I had to notice the bikes as I watched\participated in a special sing-along showing of The Sound of Music at the Music Box Theater in Chicago. Nice to see the entire entourage of Von Trapp kids on their bikes.

Silently in my mind I was analyzing geometry, rod brakes?, tire size...etc. It didn't last long and didn't detract from the fun.  Not to get bogged down in details, here are a few more fun cameo bike scenes.
